In 1558, Queen Elizabeth I granted John Hornyold Esq. the spring and asked him to provide spring water and resting place to travelers passing through.
Malvern water is some of the purest and was even believed to have medicinal qualities in the 19th century, so it has been a privilege to drink it at Eastnor Castle.
